Happy Daddy’s Day.

It seems everything I do lately is a day behind. hehe.

I wanted to say a little “thank you” to my wonderful husband for…well, being so darn wonderful. A little extra thank you for spending your day landscaping the front yard with me (lumi). Seriously, you rock. It was actually, oddly fun!? Since he rarely makes blog appearances, I thought I would flash back to a photo I cannot help but love. Hoping to get these super co-operative 5 in front of the camera soon. Its always a challenge.

An extra Happy Fathers Day to my Daddy as well. Looking forward to seeing you this week and surprising you with a special pressie!

Terry + Laura + Trevor + Haley :: Family

You may recognize the two youngin’s in this post. They are my super wonderful bonus kids who often run when I pull out the camera. hehe. On this day however, they proved to be the best of models. So thrilled!

I was fortunate to not only have them step in front of my camera this past weekend, but also their Mom and bonus dad Terry. We got together for what Laura believed would be “one” photo…and turned into a mini session. The photo will be published along with a story as Terry + Laura recently won “Share the Love” a contest on Lavalife (which is where they met)…the prize…$5000!! Hello. Check this little beauty out. Seriously, all sorts of gorgeous.

Recently her mom (Sonia) contacted me for some photos of beautiful miss Sydney as they were set to come to town for a visit. I had the opportunity to photograph Sonia once before…she happened to be very pregnant and attending her equally fabulous sister Alanna’s wedding. You can check those out here.

Quite simply…I love what I do. Having met Sonia while she was pregnant and to now be photographing her beautiful daughter. Its pretty much perfect.

Miss Kaitlyn :: Baby

I was fortunate enough to photograph this little ladies Mama + Daddy recently. The icing on the cake is that I was able to have wee Miss Kaitlyn model for me as well. When I say model, I truly mean it…this little lady was the definition of baby perfection. She tolerated my moving her all over the place, giving her “stranger” snuggles (hehe), and well…the constant clicking. No fuss from this girl…and can you say adorable? Seriously, such a little beauty.

Thank you Justin + Jenn for allowing me to be a part of such a special time in your lives. I do hope she allows you lots of rest…I know she will bring you both nothing but smiles.

I FINALLY was able to wrangle my two kiddies for a few photos. I would like to say (Michele will back me up on this) my daughter is the most difficult child I have ever had in front of my camera. I love her to bits…but she makes me bonkers. Its like running a marathon (no I dont know that for sure…but in my world of blogging that is my comparable). I have tried it all…every trick you can imagine and I generally have a good 3 seconds before she is off the bed, on the bed, throwing a fit or scrapping her brother. hehe. That last one may “look” like love…but dont be fooled. Its a good thing she is cute!

To all those photographers out there who focus their business on kiddies this age…kudos to you! It is surely not easy, but always so worth the result.
