Thank you.

Today my belief in humanity was restored.  Not that I have ever been a glass half empty kind of girl…but these past few weeks have been a little tough on our family.  So the story?  Well I will share the short version.

As many know, my camera gear was stolen recently.  All of it.  I made a mistake and left it in my car…yes I know, I know.  It happens to the best of us.  Needless to say, it was gone.  The police were involved and advised me to move forward.  Of course I did since I had a wedding only 2 days later.  Time passed, the documents have sat on my desk waiting to be submitted to my insurance company.  I was advised by them that I would only be able to get up to half of the value via insurance.  Unfortunate yes, but better than nothing.

Then today a call came.  The local police contacted me as it seems some super amazing human being came across my gear and handed it over.  He was moving into a rental property and it was in the home.  All of my personal bits…business cards, lip gloss and such were no where to be found…so it seems fair to believe that the person who “obtained” my gear attempted to sell it without luck.  My camera gear?  All comfy in its bag…happily awaiting its return home.  Nothing damaged or missing.  Sigh.

The lesson?  Good people are everywhere.  Today I experienced that first hand.  Bryan, I cannot thank you enough.  It truly brightened my day.  I am so very grateful and plan to pass your good deed forward…
