This has been a long time coming. I have been researching my options, questioning other photographers on their loves and hates of all things blogging and FINALLY I was able to find something that I knew I would be happy with.
I bailed on the idea of installing it all myself. Yes I likely could have figured it out. No I could not find the time. So, in order to get things in gear…I paid that little bit extra and had the goods set up for me. I could not be more happy with the outcome. So, for all those wondering…I purchased the site through ProPhoto and selected the hand holding version. Yes, please hold my hand and guide me through all things in blogland…hehe. So far, so good. Easy to navigate and although I have never used Wordpress…I am catching on fast.
I would like to say a special thanks to Jackie Wonders a rockin’ photographer who was kind enough to steer me in the ProPhoto direction. Very much appreciate it Jackie!
So far my only possible complaint may be the header area. I felt a little limited in the layouts, although I had quite a few options. Hmmm. Not quite sure what I felt was missing, I just felt as though this was the only one that worked for me. Really it may have just been the mood I was in. On the header note. I am very excited to be having new headshots done next month. Love my current ones, but they are not exactly the feel I am going for on the blog! Stay tuned for those.
I do hope that you are diggin’ the new site as much as I am. I am far from done in the way of design, but I just could not keep it my little secret any longer. The way it makes my photos look…that alone had me sold. I did import a portion of my old blog, although I did not go back in time like a crazy woman and re-size all the photos. Wish I could have, but I was just too eager to put this blog out into the world.
A post without photos? I think not. Grabbed two of my favorite people for a few updated shots. I am not sure Mi-Miss was into it? hehe. She is majorly teething, plus sporting a heat rash. I am confident that had she been able to walk she would have marched across the room and smacked me upside the head with my camera. Yup. Love her.
