Miss Kaitlyn :: Baby Sneak Peek

This evening I am off to Vegas with Michele for a whirlwind trip to meet some fab photogs, learn, and attend the 10th Annual [b] Party.  Just a wee bit excited!  WPPI here we come.

Of course, I cannot stand to leave without sharing a sneak of this little beauty…she is every bit of perfection.  More when I return…

enjoy.

Be sure to swing by White Linen this Tuesday…

Michele Dyson - This is honestly one of my very most favourite images you've taken ( yes, I know my grammatical skills aren't dead on, I was trying to make a point)! The colours and tones in this really are to-die-for And her beautiful little face makes me want to open the doors to baby photography again...hmmmmmm. Fantastic job girl!

devon - oh...so very sweet :) I love everything about what you do and how you do miss Brooke Bowland! (now come back from vacation a.k.a WPPI b/c i miss you in web-land!)

Jon - I love this shot. First glance my eye focused on the baby and the mother's arms. But when I looked at it again I noticed the husband's arms. Awesome!

Steph - So cute and little! Can't wait to see more. Having some serious regrets about not making the time to see you when we were in town! Next time....sigh.....there is always next time :)

gina - adorable! hope you and Michele have fun at WPPI!!

Tracy - oh my goodness! FABULOUS picture Brooke! Kaitlyn is so beautiful Jenn! WOW!

s h e r r y - What an adorable baby! <3 Have fun at WPPI! :)

Fresh For Friday.

I am convinced that since I started with these Friday posts…Friday comes a lot faster!

Another group of random things I love.

1.  Anthropologie.  I purchased the green shirt for those who have asked!  Thank you to my good friend Leesa for picking it up.  The other one was way too short…sniff sniff.  For sure making a trip to Anthro while in Vegas.  Crazy excited.

2.  Word World.  If you have wee ones and dont watch this, you should start.  Miss Isla LOVES it.  Although, she is more of a flavor of the month type girl.  Previously it was Little Einsteins.  Yes I allow her TV time…a mama’s gotta get things done!  ha.

3.  WPPI this weekend…in Vegas…enough said.

4.  Flowers.  The sunshine has me thinking Peonies + Ranunculas.  Faves.  That leads me into the site I stumbled on this morning and linked this photo from.  JL Designs…a new love.

Have a fab weekend.

Carli Canata - I love the peonie/ranunculus mix. My sister's wedding bouquet was pink peonies & cream ranunculus. So pretty! Also, jealous of the WPPI thing. I need to find me a photog pal like you and michele have with eachother cause i'm too scared to go by myself, ha!

JL_DESIGNS - thanks for the blog love! it's one of my favorite floral designs too :) xoxo, c

Michele Dyson - Totally random, totally you. You know I agree with all your random "loves". Especially ranunculous......now if only we lived somewhere with better access to these sorts of goodies. Can't wait for the weekend......

Inspiration is everywhere.

Blog stalking has become a part of my daily life…just ask my husband.  I actually have to log myself off of the internet to get any work done.  It truly is tough to stay on task when you know so many inspiring blogs are out there just waiting to be found.  Here is a little gem that I came across the other day, thanks to Michele blog stalking a fave Tara Whitney.  Tara is all sorts of amazing.  She has such a unique style and truly captures everyday moments.  Love.

When I first listened to this, I must admit I laughed.  They are just having too much fun.  Now, I am addicted to this amazing song.  Listen, then listen again.  I now sing this in my sleep…

Thanks Tara for sharing.  Oh and thanks for being such an inspiration!

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

WOW.

Rebecca - I love it!

Jackie Wonders - aren't they awesome?! i've had this song on itunes for a while...need to get more of their stuff :)

Fresh For Friday.

I seem to be drawing a blank the past few Fridays.  I am hoping it is simply the volume of goodies that are consuming my mind!  This post is going to be a little all over the place…

Much of my “free” time is being dedicated to a new business venture…if you have not already, please head over and check it out.  Michele and I are beyond proud.  Although we have a long ways to go, it has been an amazing start.  White Linen Photography is set to be everything we have dreamed of and more!

Not only do we have that on the go…we are also counting down the days until WPPI…1 week!  Very excited, and well…mildly nervous.  We are set to run into some pretty amazing people and I get the feeling I might be a wee bit starstruck.  Eeek.

As for today, I am going to share some of my favorite sites to check out for all things wedding, party and well just plain fun.  I could spend days on each of these!  Of course if you have one I have not mentioned, please leave it in the comments section so that I can check it out.  My list is long, and I am always excited to add to it!

enjoy.

And because posts are just better with pictures.  Here are a few to prove I actually DO have things up on my walls!  It only took me a year.  ha.  I love that my house is starting to become a home.  The photo on the left is a rotating group of fave’s in my hallway.  I love that I dont have to commit to photos and can change it anytime I want.  Sooooo me.

devon - ummm ya not sure how i missed this! LOVE the white frames :) beautiful!!

Mandy - oh my goodness..i love love love these! your adorable!

Brooke - The square frames are from West Elm. They dont ship to Canada though, so we had them shipped to the border for pick up. I searched everywhere for white square frames with a 5x7 mat! Love them. The ones on the right are IKEA!

Tasha - Great frames! I need to update my frames and pictures but I find it hard to change pictures that I really like!

Rebecca - Love the frames! Where are they from?

Stacie Frazier - LOVE those frames! See ya at WPPI!

Daniela - OOhh....I love the square white frames! Good idea on rotating out the photos....less commitment :)

Looks like Love.

I FINALLY was able to wrangle my two kiddies for a few photos.  I would like to say (Michele will back me up on this) my daughter is the most difficult child I have ever had in front of my camera.  I love her to bits…but she makes me bonkers.  Its like running a marathon (no I dont know that for sure…but in my world of blogging that is my comparable).  I have tried it all…every trick you can imagine and I generally have a good 3 seconds before she is off the bed, on the bed, throwing a fit or scrapping her brother.  hehe.  That last one may “look” like love…but dont be fooled.  Its a good thing she is cute!

To all those photographers out there who focus their business on kiddies this age…kudos to you!  It is surely not easy, but always so worth the result.

enjoy.
